TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

SAFETY SHRED DAYS

Last updated: 5 October 2026

1. Purpose

These Terms and Conditions of Sale define the conditions applicable to registration for and participation in events organised by the SAFETY SHRED DAYS association, hereinafter referred to as “the Association”.

SAFETY SHRED DAYS
Registered association
21 rue Jean Jacques Rousseau
74000 Annecy
SIREN: 879 401 891
SIRET: 879 401 891 00012
Email: [email protected]
Website: www.safetyshreddays.com

These Terms and Conditions supplement the terms and conditions of the ticketing platform used for registration.

In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Conditions and the platform’s ticketing terms, ticketing and order payment conditions are governed by the platform, while these Terms and Conditions apply to participation in the event.

2. Registration

Registration for Safety Shred Days takes place through the ticketing platform indicated on the Association’s website.

Registration becomes final once the order has been confirmed and the ticket paid for.

Participants are responsible for the information provided when registering, including their identity, email address, ability level and any information necessary to participate in their chosen activities.

Participants must have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions before completing their registration.

3. Prices and availability

The applicable prices are those displayed at the time of registration.

The number of places available for each training course, activity, level or group is limited to ensure appropriate supervision and safety conditions.

Registration for an event or activity is therefore subject to availability.

4. Ability level and fitness

Some training courses and activities are offered at different ability levels.

Participants are responsible for choosing the level that matches their experience and skills.

Before or during the event, the Association may change a participant’s assigned group or level if it considers that it does not match their experience, skills or the activity’s safety requirements.

This change may be decided, in particular, by the organisers, guides, mountain professionals or supervisors present at the event.

It does not automatically entitle the participant to a refund.

Some activities may also be subject to specific prerequisites stated during registration.

5. Changes to groups and activities

To ensure participant safety and the quality of supervision, the Association may change group composition, levels, activities offered, schedules or organisational arrangements.

Such adjustments may be necessary, in particular, depending on participants’ actual abilities, terrain and weather conditions, the state of the snowpack or recommendations from mountain professionals.

The Association will endeavour to maintain the planned programme while always prioritising participant safety.

6. Weather and safety conditions

Mountain activities depend directly on weather, snow and terrain conditions.

The conditions encountered may lead to changes to the programme, routes, schedules, activities, groups or meeting points.

The Association will make every effort to maintain the event and offer suitable alternatives where possible.

If safety conditions do not allow a planned activity to take place, it may be modified, replaced or cancelled.

The decision rests with the Association and the mountain professionals responsible for supervision.

7. Cancellation by the participant

Participants may request cancellation of their registration under the following conditions:

  • More than 30 days before the start of the event: refund of 100% of the ticket price
  • From 30 to 8 days before the event: refund of 50% of the ticket price
  • From 7 days before the event: no refund

Refunds are calculated on the ticket price, excluding any booking, service or ticketing fees charged by the platform.

All cancellation requests must be made in writing to: [email protected].

Failure to attend the event without a prior cancellation request does not entitle the participant to any refund.

8. Illness or injury

In the event of illness or injury preventing participation, the Association may consider an exceptional request on presentation of medical evidence.

Medical evidence does not automatically entitle the participant to a refund.

The Association may take into account, in particular, the date of the request, the nature of the impediment and the possibility of reallocating the place.

9. Transfer of registration

As tickets are issued in the participant’s name, any transfer to another person must be approved in advance by the Association.

All transfer requests must be made in writing to [email protected] sufficiently in advance of the event.

The Association may refuse a transfer if the new participant does not meet the requirements for the chosen activity or level.

Transferring a ticket does not automatically allow changes to the level, activity or package originally booked.

10. Packages covering several days

Packages covering several days or activities form an indivisible package.

They are not eligible for a partial refund if the participant does not attend one of the days or activities included in the package.

If a participant ultimately wishes to attend only one day, they must cancel their entire package under the conditions set out in Article 7 and, subject to remaining availability, make a new booking for the desired day.

11. Cancellation or significant changes by the Association

The Association may need to cancel or modify the event if circumstances prevent it from taking place under satisfactory safety or organisational conditions.

If the Association cancels the entire event, the participant will be refunded the ticket price, excluding any booking, service or ticketing fees that cannot be recovered.

The Association cannot be held responsible for costs incurred by the participant outside event registration, including transport, accommodation, meals or equipment rental.

Where possible, the Association may offer an alternative solution or a programme change before cancelling the event entirely.

12. Supervision and safety instructions

Participants undertake to follow the instructions given by the organisers, guides, mountain professionals and other instructors present at the event.

The Association or the professionals responsible for supervision may decide to limit, modify or stop a person’s participation if their behaviour, ability, physical condition or the conditions of the activity pose a risk to themselves or the group.

No participant may demand that an activity or route be undertaken if the responsible professionals consider that the necessary safety conditions are not met.

13. Equipment

Participants are responsible for having the equipment required for the activity for which they have registered.

Where specific equipment is required, the relevant information will be provided during registration or in the practical information sent before the event.

Participants must use their equipment in accordance with the professionals’ recommendations and ensure it is in good condition before taking part.

14. Insurance and liability

Skiing, snowboarding, freeriding, ski touring and mountain activities involve risks inherent to these activities.

Participants must have insurance appropriate to the activities in which they take part, covering rescue costs where necessary.

The Association cannot be held responsible for damage resulting from a participant’s wrongful or reckless behaviour, failure to follow safety instructions or use of unsuitable equipment.

Participants remain responsible for their personal belongings and equipment.

15. Image rights

Photographs and videos may be taken during Safety Shred Days to document the event and showcase the Association’s activities.

Where a participant has given permission during registration, these photographs and videos may be used by Safety Shred Days to communicate about and promote the Association and its events, including on its website, social media and communication materials.

Individual photographs, portraits, interviews or content specifically featuring a person may be subject to separate permission.

Anyone who has not given permission or wishes to withdraw it may contact the Association at [email protected]. They may also inform the Safety Shred Days team during the event.

The Association will then take reasonable measures to prevent further use or publication of their image in communication materials.

For participants who are minors, permission from their legal representative is required for publication of their image.

16. Personal data

Personal data collected during registration is used to manage registrations, organise the event, communicate with participants and, where the participant has consented, carry out the relevant communication purposes.

Data is processed in accordance with applicable personal data protection regulations.

Participants may exercise their rights by contacting the Association at [email protected].

17. Complaints

Any complaint should first be sent to the Association in writing at:

[email protected]

The Association undertakes to examine every complaint and seek an amicable solution with the participant.

18. Consumer mediation

After submitting a written complaint to the Association and if no amicable resolution is reached, a participant acting as a consumer may, where the legal conditions are met, refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator appointed by the Association.

Appointed mediator: [MEDIATOR NAME]
Address: [ADDRESS]
Website: [MEDIATOR WEBSITE]

Details of how to refer a matter to the mediator and the applicable conditions are available on the mediator’s website.

19. Intellectual property

The content on the Safety Shred Days website and communication materials, including text, photographs, videos, logos, graphics and visual elements, is protected by applicable intellectual property provisions.

Any unauthorised reproduction or use of this content is prohibited.

20. Applicable law and dispute resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution as a priority.

If no amicable agreement or mediation, where applicable, is reached, the dispute may be referred to the competent courts in accordance with the ordinary rules of law.

21. Acceptance of the Terms and Conditions

Registration for Safety Shred Days implies that the participant has read and accepted these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

These Terms and Conditions are available on the Safety Shred Days website and may be consulted before registering.
