MORE THAN
AN EVENT

A real opportunity to share, learn and build mountain safety awareness.

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to help reduce mountain accidents related to off-piste skiing and snowboarding.

To achieve this, we want to make avalanche prevention and rescue training accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of age, ability or background.

Through friendly, accessible gatherings led by professionals, Safety Shred Days offers opportunities to train, share experiences and better understand the risks of freeriding.

Events held in different resorts and countries, making safety an integral part of freeride culture.

TRAIN

Understand the mountains, the snowpack and the risks of off-piste riding. Learn good habits and practise responding to an avalanche situation.

PREVENT

Understand risks better so you can anticipate them. Safety Shred Days gives you the tools to prepare your outings, make informed choices and move more confidently in the mountains.

SHARE

Safety is also built together. Talk with professionals and other riders, share your experiences and progress in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

THE CONCEPT

Safety Shred Days is the essential early-season gathering for freeride enthusiasts and anyone who wants to discover it, whatever their age or ability.

The concept: learn mountain risk management and avalanche rescue in a friendly atmosphere, at accessible prices. Each event offers a weekend combining theory, practical workshops, riding sessions and time together around freeride skiing and snowboarding.

1. A DAY TO TRAIN

Practical snow workshops and a conference to learn the basics of avalanche prevention and rescue.

2. A DAY TO RIDE

A day with certified guides for freeriding, ski touring or splitboarding.

3. A WEEKEND TO SHARE

Meet people, exchange ideas and enjoy time together around a shared passion: the mountains.

OUR VALUES

Safety Shred Days is above all a collective adventure, driven by a shared passion for the mountains and freeriding. Through our events, we want to share a culture of safety, make training accessible and encourage a more aware and responsible approach, without ever losing the joy of riding.

  • SAFETY
  • ACCESSIBILITY
  • SHARING
  • PASSION FOR THE MOUNTAINS

Our values are also supported and shared by our partners and our team of volunteers, friends and family (often all three), without whom none of this would be possible.

OUR STORY

After several traumatic experiences in avalanches, French professional snowboarder Victor Daviet realised that freeriders were generally not sufficiently prepared to face avalanche situations. To give everyone the opportunity to train in mountain risk management and avalanche rescue, he founded the Safety Shred Days association in 2016.
