Get ready for an exciting mountain experience from 10th to 14th of january 2024 in La Rosière, in the stunning French Alps !

MOVIE NIGHT : FRIDAY JANUARY 12th 2024

An evening of screenings of current riding films in the presence of the riders, open to all and free of charge at the La Rosière cinema.

SAFETY DAY : SATURDAY JANUARY 13th 2024

During this day dedicated to safety training & avalanche risk management - accessible to everyone, with 3 different levels (beginnner, intermediate, and expert) - you'll learn how to use efficiently your beacon in order to find a victim, you'll practice your probing technique as well as shovelling, first aid and nivology's basics (beginner level). You'll also be doing real-life scenarios in situ (intermediate level) and for the more experienced you'll go riding & learn to analyse the terrain with our guides, in order to know how to lead a group, in specific situations.

The perfect occasion to be prepared to enjoy powder safely, all winter long !

Please note : the day starts at 8:30

The registration to the Safety Day includes:

• Practical & theorical trainings
• Day ski pass for the the lifts
• Breakfast & lunch

Material :

• You skis or your snowboard
• your beacon, probe & shovel. If you don't have any yet, some can be loaned to you for the day, but with limited availability.
• You brain as "The Mountain has no brain..."
• Warm clothing, as you'll be spending the day on the snow !

Levels :

Beginner level : You never took part in a training session or your last one is from more than 5 years ago, and you'd like to go over the basics again in order to acquire a good base prior to leaving the slopes.

Training content : Handling of the beacon / research with beacon / Probing / Shovelling / Victim's first aid / Scenarios with multiple victims / Nivology / Recco system

Intermediate level: You already did the Safety Shred Days beginner training or your last time training was less than 5 years ago, and you'd like to add to your knowledge & skill in avalanche Safety trainings.

Training content : Complex avalanche scenarios (real conditions, multi victims, analysis of situations ... )

Expert level: You have already taken part in the Safety Shred Days intermediate tranings, and you'd like to sharpen your on-snow skills thanks to a training focused on the analysis & decision-making while freeriding.

Training content : BERA analysis / Observation of the terrain & nivology / Choice of your line based on your groupe / Communication / Behaviour on the descent

Out of bounds riding, discussion & learn again how to manage the risks.

RIDING DAY : DIMANCHE JANUARY 14th 2024

Banked slalom, fun activities & much more ! 

The fun riding day for everyone.

Registration to the Riding Day includes :

• Registration for the banked slalom, if you wish to participate.
• Your participation to other fun activities such as splitboarding or ski touring. 
• A day skipass to access the whole ski resort
• Lunch

SAFETY SHRED DAYS WEEKEND : FRI. 12 OR SAT. 13 TO SUN. 14 JANVIER

Experience a full weekend of training and riding in the laid-back freeride atmosphere of Safety Shred Days! Practical and theoretical workshops, riding, evening events, movie night, and much more – the recipe for a weekend that's both smart and fun among enthusiasts!

Note : Day starts at 8:30 on saturday, movie night on Friday evening 

Registration to the SSD Weekend includes:

• Movie night entrance
• Practical & theorical trainings
• 2 Days ski pass for the the lifts to access the entire resort
• Breakfast & lunch on Saturday
• Access to the SSD party on Saturday Evening
• Registration for the banked slalom, if you wish to participate.
• Sunday's lunch

Accomodation available for an extra charge in the Residence les Balcons ****, friday and/or Saturday evening with a special price for the participants.

KIDS DAY : WEDNESDAY JANUARY 10th 2024

A day of practical and theoretical training specially tailored for young freeriders aged 8 to 16, culminating in a riding session and an opportunity to interact with the present pro riders

The questions addressed will be: how to locate avalanche victims and extract them from the snow? What are the first aid measures to administer, and how should they be carried out? How to analyze the snow? 

Registration to the Kids Day includes :

• Practical & theorical trainings
• Food during the day
• Day ski pass for the the lifts
