A first for the Safety Shred Days ! The event finally arrives in the Pyreneans, for 2 days of on snow safety trainings and fun activities around freeriding, on snowboards & skis, open to everyone and in collaboration with the infamous snowboarder Mathieu Crépel !
See you from December 16th to 17th in Cauterets, to learn, exchange & have fun !
Depending on your needs, you can come for the day or the full weekend !
During this day dedicated to safety training & avalanche risk management - accessible to everyone, with 3 different levels (beginnner, intermediate, and expert) - you'll learn how to use efficiently your beacon in order to find a victim, you'll practice your probing technique as well as shovelling, first aid and nivology's basics (beginner level). You'll also be doing real-life scenarios in situ (intermediate level) and for the more experienced you'll go riding & learn to analyse the terrain with our guides, in order to know how to lead a group, in specific situations. The perfect occasion to be prepared to enjoy powder safely, all winter long !
Please note : the day starts at 8:30
Beginner level : You never took part in a training session or your last one is from more than 5 years ago, and you'd like to go over the basics again in order to acquire a good base prior to leaving the slopes.
Training content : Handling of the beacon / research with beacon / Probing / Shovelling / Victim's first aid / Scenarios with multiple victims / Nivology / Recco system

Intermediate level : You already did the Safety Shred Days beginner training or your last time training was less than 5 years ago, and you'd like to add to your knowledge & skill in avalanche Safety trainings.
Training content : Complex avalanche scenarios (real conditions, multi victims, analysis of situations ... )
